Hawaiian Miles Credit Card

One of the top destination spots in the world is Hawaii and its beautiful islands. Many of the
credit cards that are offered only have one problem; they don't fly outside of the continental United States. Being one of the top destination spots for years, Hawaii is left out of many credit card programs due to limited flights into the islands. We will look at the most popular Hawaiian miles credit card program through Hawaiian Airlines and review the pros and cons of this credit card.

Hawaiian Airlines offers two types of credit cards for its customers, one for Hawaii residents and one for Non-residents. The only difference between these two credit companies is that Hawaiian residents will have a credit card through Bank of Hawaii and non-residents will get a card through the Bank of America.  Hawaiian Miles currently offers four different types of visa credit cards depending on the need of the cardholder.  These include the Signature, Platinum, Classic and Business.   Each of these cards offers bonus miles for using Hawaiian Airlines, Xtramile partners and the ability to share miles with family and friends who use planes into Hawaii.

The main pros over the credit cards servicing Hawaii are the generous bonuses given by the airline. Cardholders can receive a quick bonus of several thousand miles after their first purchase and can quickly earn miles for every dollar spent on net retail purchases.  Also, Hawaiian Airlines provides two Hawaiian Miles for every dollar spent on flights taken on their airline. The rewards also extend to other businesses that offer double miles throughout Hawaii.  These include hotels, retail stores, restaurants, tour companies that the customer
will already be spending money on with their visit to one of Hawaii's top vacation spots. 

While the pros far outweigh the cons for this top vacation spot credit card, there are a few negatives that are part of the credit card program offered from Hawaii's main air miles provider. Using this credit card outside of the list of Xtramiles participants does not favor the cardholder by only offering one mile per dollar.  While this amount may add up quickly for the big spender, customers who only vacation in Hawaii every few years may not see their miles adding up as quickly as they like. This along with a lower ticket purchases

Overall the Hawaiian miles credit card offers tremendous incentives for Hawaiian natives and non-residents.  Visitors who frequently visit in or live in one of Hawaii's islands get great value and use from their Hawaiian Miles. Some of the many perks are doubled when used at restaurants, hotels, and various tours that Hawaii offers.
